What's in the box

  • An automatic flashing light that activates automatically upon immersion in water, with a battery already included (1 x 3.0 V, 750 mAh, CR2 lithium battery)
  • A fastening clip

Installation and inspection

Installation:

  1. Take the bracket and slide it into the fabric of the Floatee logo. The aim is to ensure that the light cannot come loose if dropped.
  2. Take the light and position it above the bracket.
  3. Clip the light onto the bracket. It should no longer be able to move or come off.

Inspection:

  1. Visually inspect the light for any signs of damage or corrosion.
  2. Test the light by submerging the water detector (i.e., the two yellow metal parts on top of the lamp, on the opposite side of the ON/OFF switch) in water. The light should switch on immediately, then switch off when you press the ON/OFF button.
  3. Remove the detector from the water and dry it. The light can be switched off manually using the button.
  4. If any defects are found in the appearance or operation of the light, it must be considered faulty. The faulty light must be removed from the life jacket and replaced with a new unit.

Important information

This light requires no maintenance, but whilst in storage, do not touch the water detector and ensure it remains dry at all times.

Ensure the light is facing outwards, not towards the fabric.

Once clipped in place, it is difficult to remove the light from the holder without damaging the clip. Check that the assembly is correctly positioned before attaching it to your A100 child’s lifejacket.

The light must be inspected before installation and checked regularly thereafter.
