What's the difference between the anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation and with manual activation?

The manual T-shirt is activated by pulling on the cord connected to the anti-drowning device, unlike the automatic T-shirt, which is activated as soon as you are up to your neck in water.

What type of trigger (manual or automatic) best suits my profile?

Manual activation

Does the adults' anti-drowning t-shirt hurt when inflating?

No, the inflation can be surprising but in no instance painful. The product is also designed not to compress sensitive areas.

Which adults' anti-drowning t-shirt's size should I choose?

We recommend you base your decision on our size guide.

Are your products accredited for nautical activities?

Our adult products are certified to the ISO 12402-5 standard for buoyancy aids, so they can be used for activities up to 300 metres from the shore. They can also be used for navigation up to 2 nautical miles from a shelter for pleasure craft for personal use or training, with a hull length of less than 24 metres.

Further certification is required for offshore use (beyond 300 metres from the shore).

We strongly recommend that you check with your local authorities to find out what level of protection is required when taking part in aquatic activities.

Is it possible to wear clothing or equipment over my anti-drowning product?

No, wearing clothing or equipment over the anti-drowning t-shirt may affect its performance and hamper its activation.

However, it is possible to add an extra layer underneath the Floatee t-shirt.

Can I fly with the anti-drowning products?

Airline regulations allow CO2 capsules in checked and cabin luggage. However, we recommend that you check with your airline beforehand and consult our dedicated page.

Adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with MANUAL activation

How does the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with manual activation work?

The manual T-shirt is a safety equipment that combines protection against UV rays and drowning.

The anti-drowning device inside the T-shirt is activated manually via a cord on the front left-hand side of the T-shirt. This activation allows the lung to inflate instantly.

Once activated, the device can be recharged without having to replace the entire T-shirt.

When should I wear the manual anti-drowning T-shirt? For which activities?

The manual T-shirt is worn when you go in the water to swim or practice your aquatic activity. It's an extra safety device to save you in case of fatigue, discomfort, cramp or any other difficulty you may encounter.

You can use the manual T-shirt for your aquatic activities in rivers or at sea within the 300-metre band, such as swimming, paddling, kayaking, rowing, surfing, canoeing, fishing or coastal lanyards. You can also use it for kitesurfing and windsurfing without a harness.

Is the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with manual activation reusable after inflation?

Yes, the anti-drowning t-shirt has been designed to be easily reused after an activation. All you need to do is change the CO2 cartridge specially designed for our manual t-shirt (see product). You can access the used cartridge via the zip on the chest: then unscrew it and screw in the new gas cartridge.

Can the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with manual activation be washed?

Yes, the manual T-shirt can be washed by hand in cold water with a mild soap.

For added convenience, remove the gas cartridge before washing.

Dry in the shade on a plastic hanger, out of direct sunlight.

Do not use bleach or strong detergents.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not iron.

Can I wear my anti-drowning T-shirt with manual activation with a wetsuit?

Yes, the anti-drowning T-shirt can be worn over a wetsuit.

Who is the anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation designed for?

The anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation is suitable for people who cannot swim well or who are not at ease in the water.

How does the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation work?

The automatic T-shirt is a safety equipment that combines protection against UV rays and drowning.

The anti-drowning device inside the T-shirt is triggered automatically if the wearer is immersed in water (falls or unsupervised swimming). The lung then inflates instantly.

Once activated, the device can be recharged without having to replace the entire T-shirt.

Can I bath with the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation?

No, the anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation is not designed as bathing or swimming clothes but as a security equipment. It is to wear out of the water, it can be pulled off like a normal T-shirt when wanting to go into the water. It is not a swimming instruction aid (like armbands, swimming rings, etc.).

Can it be triggered by a fall or rain?

The anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation requires immersion in water to activate. It will not inflate in the event of a fall, rain or spilt glass of water, for example.

Is the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation reusable after inflation?

Yes, the anti-drowning t-shirt has been designed to be easily reused after a trigger. All you need to do is change the CO2 cartridge specially designed for our automatic T-shirt (see product). To refill, simply unscrew the used gas cartridge and water sensor, then screw on the new gas and water sensor capsules.

Can the adults' anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation be washed?

Yes, the manual T-shirt can be washed by hand in cold water with a mild soap.

Warning: remember to remove the gas cartridge and water sensor before washing! Otherwise you risk setting off your product.

Dry in the shade on a plastic hanger, out of direct sunlight.

Do not use bleach or strong detergents.

Do not tumble dry.

How do I deflate and recharge the automatic anti-drowning t-shirt after it has been triggered?

The automatic anti-drowning T-shirt is deflated using the product's mouth inflator. A certain amount of pressure must be exerted at the same time on your T-shirt to expel the air.

To refill the automatic anti-drowning T-shirt, simply purchase a Floatee recharge adapted to the anti-drowning T-shirt with automatic activation. You can access the used gas cartridge and water sensor via the zip on the chest: you then unscrew them and screw on the new gas cartridge and water sensor.

Recharge

Can I use a gas cartridge other than the one sold by Floatee?

Floatee T-shirts use certified CO2 cartridges. You can't use any other cartridge on the market: ours contain exactly the right amount of CO2 to ensure that your T-shirt inflates and flips. We cannot guarantee that it will work if you use another gas cartridge.

Warning: it is essential to use the correct size replacement CO2 cartridge. You cannot use a recharge for another Floatee product. You can check the required cartridge size directly on the cartridge fitted to your T-shirt at the time of purchase.

How long does my recharge last?

An unused recharge can be kept for 5 years. Once the device has been triggered, replace the recharge.

I have a children's recharge. Can I use it on my adult product?

No, under no circumstances is the recharge for children's product suitable for an adult product (automatic or manual). You must get the right recharge for your product:

How can I pay?

Visa, Mastercard, Bank card, E-bank card, Eurocard, American Express, PayPal.

If you want to use any other method of payment, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Can I pay in several times/installments?

Yes! You can pay in 3 instalments thanks to our partner Alma, we even take care of the fees!

However, it is not possible for the e-gift cards. This payment option is deactivated on the checkout page if there is an e-gift card in your cart.

How do I use my promo code?

Promo codes allow you to get a discount or other promotions when you place an order on our website. Here’s how to benefit from one:

1. Choose the products you want to order on our online store.

2. Continue to your cart. Click on “I have a promo code”, located to the right of your coordinates, under your order summary. A promo code can also be applied at the delivery and payment page.

3. Type in your promo code, then click on the arrow on the right or on your keyboard’s enter key. A confirmation message will automatically show up on your screen with your discount.

When will I be charged?

As soon as you have confirmed your order, we will initiate payment.

How do I cancel or change my order?

Contact our team: we will answer in less than 4 hours from Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 6pm.

If your order is already packed, it isn’t possible to cancel or change it, you will have to return it.

Deliveries

When will my order be shipped?

It will be shipped from July 2024.

What are the delivery times and prices?

A delivery time estimate is given when you order. It is given in working days and is the average time it takes for order processing and delivery.

For mainland France:
For orders 50€ or more, Colissimo postage to a “Point Relais” or at home is free.

For French Department Overseas and other countries:
The delivery fees depend on the country.

What countries do you deliver to?

How do I change the delivery address?

If your order is already sent, contact the shipping company with your tracking order (note: French numbers, CET time):

How can I track my order once it is shipped?

As soon as your order leaves our store, you will receive a shipping confirmation e-mail, with your tracking number*.

Once the order is shipped, your tracking number will also appear in your customer area, in the "My orders" tab.

*For Mondial Relay, you need to copy-paste the tracking number and give the post code of your delivery address to be able to track the delivery.

What do I need to watch out for during delivery?

When you receive your order:
1) Check your package in the presence of the delivery person.
2) Turn down the package if it is in a bad state/refurbished/wrapped in tape that isn’t ours/too light/opened during transport/ or if some articles are missing, etc.

Don’t hesitate to check the contents of your package in the presence of the delivery person or post office worker.

Exchanges and Returns

How do I exchange or return an item?

As soon as you receive your order, we invite you to check all the items received and to notify us of any hidden defects as soon as possible by attaching a few photos of the item and its label.

You can return your order within 14 days without any particular constraints, provided that the product is in the same condition as when you received it: original packaging, labels attached, item not worn or washed, etc.

If the item you are returning is not in the condition in which you received it, or if it was purchased several months ago, we cannot guarantee an exchange or refund.

However, we will be happy to work with you to find a solution!

What are the return conditions?

You have the possibility to return any article that doesn’t suit your needs when bought on our online shop, within a 14-day period after reception or in case of non-conformity. More information in our General Terms and Conditions.

Make sure that it follows these criteria:

The article is in its original condition, with labels attached.

It hasn’t been washed or worn (except to have been tried on).

We reserve the right to refuse any return that doesn’t respect these conditions.

If your article has been cleaned, is stained (makeup, deodorant, sweat marks, etc.) or has a strong smell (perfume, kitchen smells, etc.), it will be sent back to you.

If you bought your article through one of our distribution partner, the return is to be seen directly with this distribution partner.

What happens when the refund has been sent to an expired/cancelled bank card?

If the card you had used to order has expired or if you cancelled it, don’t worry.

Refunds are linked to your bank account.

Your bank will do what is needed so all payments and refunds are made on your bank account.
